The public is asked to help High Country Crime Stoppers and Boone Police solve the following crime:
At 1:15 p.m. on November 6, three people went into A2Z Tobacco and Vape, which is at 125 New Market Center in Boone. The people got two bottles of nitrous oxide and then left the shop without paying.
The last time these people were seen, they were leaving the area in a silver Chevrolet SUV. The people who are being watched look like three men and a woman. Here are pictures of the things that are of interest and the Chevrolet SUV.
Please call Crime Stoppers at 828-268-6959 or the Boone Police Department at 828-268-6900 if you know anything about this or any other crime. You can also text “NCTIP plus your tip” to 274637 (CRIMES). Every piece of information will be kept secret.
High Country Crime Stoppers offers prizes for information that leads to arrests, the return of stolen goods, the seizure of drugs, or the finding of people who are wanted.
High Country Crime Stoppers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit group that works in Avery and Watauga Counties and is run by a volunteer board of directors. High Country Crime Stoppers wants people to give them information or tips that can help the police solve crimes. Its goal is to help fight crime, but it is not part of the police or sheriff’s offices in the area.
A law enforcement coordinator works for each county and helps the board but doesn’t have any vote rights. The citizen’s board is in charge of running the program, getting money for it, dealing with the public, and approving awards.
