A guy from Oklahoma City was charged with murder in the first degree yesterday, November 15. On August 5, the Oklahoma City Police Department (OKCPD) put out an order for the arrest of KEN Davis, 64. The amount of his bond is $10,000,000.
An statement says that Davis’ roommate Merle Southwick was found dead in their home by his brother Stanley Southwick. During an interview, Stanley said that he had tried to call Merle on Friday, August 2.
Davis answered and said Merle was sound asleep. Stan went to the house on August 4 to pick up Merle for church.
Stanley broke into the house through an open window when no one answered the door or his calls. Stanley called the cops and stayed at the scene after finding Merle’s body.
During this time, Stanley wasn’t the only friend or family member who tried to get in touch with Merle.
Merle’s close friend Annie Sterling also called Merle’s cell phone on August 2, and Davis answered it.
Sterling also sent Merle text messages asking if he was okay and then again to see if he was upset after not hearing back the first time.
The Oklahoma City Police Department said it looked like Merle had been killed days before he was found.
